Boucher - Init., P, R'd: St. Johns Lodge, Cobourg 1844). Warranted A.D. July 14, 1858, Colborne Lodge No. 91, Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. (150th Anniversary in 2007-2008)
W. Bro. Chris Amos, who is the Colborne Lodge Historian (as well as Secretary) is also the Ontario District Historian. For anyone who might be looking for some answers to historical questions, you should take the opportunity to be get in touch with this Masonic Historian. W. Bro. Chris Amos has researched and created a Masonic History document that covers the entire 4000 year history of the tradition of the Builders including the medieval period, the development of the tradition in the British Isles, and early Freemasonry in the Americas - with quite a bit on the establishment of Freemasonry in Upper Canada, and then ending with the history of Freemasonry in the Newcastle District (also a Masonic District at the time) - covering the present Ontario District, and finally with the particular history of Colborne Lodge.
